Thank you for reminding me ‘It’s ok’ 🙏🏻 I was on the side of the road…in some grass, confused and not able to get up. I am always trying to figure what I got to do .. how do I get up? Then I noticed there was a figure ahead of me on the road but I did not know if they were coming toward me or away from me or just waiting for me…but I knew I wasn’t alone on the road. And that was what I needed at that moment. It was such a powerful vision, one I will never forget. Your post reminded me it’s ok..maybe I don’t have to do anything to get up. Maybe I need to be in the grass right now. I will know when it’s time to get up and be on my way.
I have to share this with you! After the retreat I started the Ignatian Journey that Lori so beautifully curated, it has been so transformative already! After I read your post I went to read the morning scripture provided for each day and it just blew me away. Ok I get the message! I can wait in the grass as long as I need to…
“….These sterile and barren bodies of ours are yearning for full deliverance. That is why waiting does not diminish us, any more than waiting diminishes a pregnant mother. We are enlarged in the waiting. But the longer we wait, the larger we become, and the more joyful our expectancy!”

We are not alone on this journey..and yes we are seen and loved just as we are. It’s ok.
Trae, It was a good gift to read your post and feel the tension of how you came to the retreat and what slowly began to unfold….it felt like you allowed yourself to become present …maybe even to yourself. It was a good gift to meet and have some time with you. Blessings, Sibyl
